2021 04 – Happy Easter

The 2021 April collection featured three bars made at origin. They’re all quite different styles but make for an interesting box.

Manoa Chocolate have been a long time favourite of Bean Bar You. The style and passion were there form Dylan’s backyard beginnings to the latest new factory. Dylan is committed to making craft chocolate accessible to as many people as possible.

Auro chocolate bars are real beauties. We couldn’t wait to get more of these bars to Australia! These two special “reserve” bars feature some of their most excellent cacao from the 2019 harvests. Auro keep winning awards on the world stage and it’s so exciting to see this company getting the recognition they deserve.

We had the opportunity to help out our friend Santi of Yaku Latin Goods in Queensland who import Pacari Chocolate. These bars are made in Ecuador with cacao from Los Rios.

Gabriel Chocolate is open for business in paradise south of Perth. They had a tough few months without tourists but have since been super busy with all the local travellers. We were trying to get a few new bars to share with everyone but we had a miscommunication and ended up with half our order. Our milk (and some mixed) subscribers were able to try their gorgeous Madagascar milk bar – we’ll get some more again soon.

We took that opportunity to feature a second Australian chocolate maker this month. South Pacific Cacao make chocolate out of their shop front / factory in Sydney’s Haberfield. They were very popular in the lead up to Easter so it worked well to collect 5 different bars to share with our dark (and a few mixed) subscribers.
