We’ve spent a wonderful weekend at the 2nd Australian Chocolate Festival for Bean to Bar chocolate makers. It was an absolute pleasure to hang out with 40 Australian (and the world’s) chocolate makers in Williamstown. It was also lovely to meet so many of our wonderful customers. We are bringing home an enormous collection of bars from the international exhibitors and we’re excited to share them with our subscribers and curious customers in a few weeks time.
10% off 7th July
We love that we deliver boxes of chocolate all across Australia every month. Unfortunately, that means that many of our customers weren’t able to attend the chocolate festival in Melbourne. We don’t think it’s fair they miss out on some amazing chocolate deals so we’re offering a one day special offer of 10% off all single bars. Click here to activate that coupon.
Please note, we’re on our way back from the festival and have a backlog of orders from the weekend. It may take us a few days to get back up to speed so our usual order turn around time will be longer than the usual 24 hours.
We now ship chocolate to NZ
We were devested when we heard The Chocolate Bar NZ was closing last year. When we started Bean Bar You back in 2016, the fact that Luke Owen Smith had setup this amazing store in Wellington was reassurance that what we wanted to create was possible. Australia and NZ are on the other side of the world from all the craft chocolate makers of Europe and the US that we’d fallen in love with. Luke’s enthusiasm and innovation is a big part of why the number of quality of bean to bar chocolate has been booming in New Zealand.
We’ve had many requests from NZ chocolate lovers this year and after 6 months of trialling various shipping options and configurations we’re ready to make our NZ shipping availability public. Shipping costs have to be calculated base on weight. Standard post takes about a week to arrive and isn’t much more than our Australian flat rate. However, as these goods are being exported, the sales and postage costs are exempt from Australian GST. Thus a 10% reduction is applied once you enter an NZ shipping address.
