Gila and Joel Dar arrived in Costa Rica in 2014, and soon saw their first raw cocoa bean. Curious about how this strange fruit was turned into the ‘loved-by-all’ substance chocolate they began a journey to learn all they could about the origins and making of chocolate.In April 2016 they landed in Denver Colorado and started the American chapter of their story. They opened a small chocolate factory, and love handcrafing chocolate from the bean and connecting with fellow chocolate lovers. See more
