You won’t want to miss this – the first ever micro-batch special edition from Foundry chocolate sold out within hours in NZ.
Lucky for Australia, we’ve been slow to upback our orders this month so we’re sitting on the last few boxes of the 800 bars that were made.
When David sent us a sample of this chocolate in 2024 we knew it was going to be popular but we hadn’t realised how limited the beans were and how many people were going to want them. The delicate sweetness of this bar was magical. Chris imagines it’s like a trying a teaspoon of honey straight from a from a botanical gardens beehive in at the height of spring-time. The truth is, it’s just the cacao beans coming alive with the foundry’s usual perfect roast and unbeatable craftiness.
We hope you’re able to try this, get some friends together and share a bar – you’ll remember that day forever.
“Between the meandering rivers and forested valleys of Pichari Alta in Cusco, Peru, is the Finca Nueva Esperanza farm. These third-generation cacao farmers produce a harvest so unique, it rarely leaves the area. We are privileged to have crafted a limited portion into an intoxicatingly floral and dangerously moreish chocolate. We feel incredibly humbled that the Laura Family has given our little chocolate factory permission to transform their beautiful cacao. Get ready to have your senses flooded with notes of sweet mandarin and rose-laden Turkish delight. It is delightful indeed. While Pichari Alta, Peru dances with an unbridled celebration of juicy candy, fruit and flowers, it’s simply the character of this much sought-after VRAE-99 cacao singing. Plus organic cane sugar and our obsession for respecting provenance and generations of painstaking genetic preservation.”
