Heinde & Verre – Vegan noble Bali Mylk

$9.90

This is no ordinary vegan mylk chocolate. Heinde & Verre has developed its own vegan milk alternative to create a unique rich and creamy chocolate bar: Vegan Noble Bali. It sheds new light on the typical Indonesian chocolate flavour present in our lovely Bali cacao. Notes of spices, fruit, flowers, caramel and chocolate can be discovered. Based on a mix of all natural ingredients it is not only a great – no compromise – milk alternative it is also free of nuts, gluten, lactose and soy. Notes of spices, white fruit, flowers, caramel and chocolate can be discovered.

Located in the Tabanan region of Bali a small farmer collective of around 10 farmers cultivate the beans for the Noble Bali chocolate. Bali is an interesting island within the Indonesian archipelago when it comes to rain. On average the island is a bit drier compared to other islands which make it suitable to dry cacao beans in the sun.

When going vegan, a remark which is often heard is: “the only thing I really miss is a good milk bar that actually reminds me of a milk bar”. Not being vegans ourselves but connoisseurs of milk we obviously accepted this challenge with both heart and mind. Many days of deep dive into questions like “what is the essence of a milk bar?” Followed by many weeks of experimenting and testing several recipes. In short, good times. We have selected a mix of natural, allergen free ingredients to capture the essence of quality milk in a vegan milk bar alternative. When you taste the Vegan Noble Bali Mylk bar you can discover the “anchor points” of milk chocolate such as natural sweetness, well rounded soft caramel tones, chalky heartiness and a creamy texture with a mellow melt.

Jan-Willem & Ewald are like two brothers you always wished you had. Both are friendly, organised, and super fun. They're immersed in creating some special chocolate and making it an experience you won't forget. From their factory in the old part of Rotterdam city, they sort and roast beans then set to work finding the perfect roast profile to create the perfect bar. Transparency is a core component of their product, their website shows you where they get their beans, and how. Their lab coats reflect their scientific approach to the art of making chocolate but also a jovial elegance which permeates thorough the experience you have when you try one of their bars. Each Heinde & Verre box contains 2 bars, one bar for now, one for later - we love these formats as it enables you to try some and keep some fresh to compare to something else later. Why not split it up and share with a friend (give it away before you try it otherwise you will probably want to hang onto it for yourself). See more
