Ara Chocolat


Andres and Sabrina Zakhour are the husband and wife team behind Ara Chocolate. Andres was a successful pastry chef and chocolatier in Venezuela and London but wanted to make his own chocolate, from bean to bar. Having learned how with the Franceschi family, he moved to Paris and they set up a small chocolate shop in an unfashionable (but cheap!) suburb.

Ara quickly became known for the best hot chocolate in town, as well as delicious bars and pralines. The care strongly about the environment and all their products are vegan.
Ara is French for macaw, the habitat of which Ara is committed to protecting through sustainable cocoa sourcing.
