One of the new Australian chocolate makers to launch in 2022, Woodfire Chocolate Makers are unique. They are the only chocolate maker, that we know of, that uses a wood fired roaster (they also use it for their pre-existing coffee roasting business). We can’t wait to visit and see it in action but we’re impressed with the outcome. There’s no smokiness and the wood can be carefully controlled to fine tune the ideal roast profile. The custom mould is on theme and easy to enjoy. The paper packaging is beautiful and the wax seal is cleanly carried out without causing any damage (it’s actually hard to do this as hot wax is bad news for precious chocolate).
